Tea Room at The Midland
Project completed at Ahoy
The Tea Room at The Midland is one of Manchester’s first dedicated afternoon tea rooms. They needed and identity that would complement their new interior design concept.
The Tea Room is The Midland’s latest offering, sitting along side Mr Cooper’s and The French Restaurant. It is one of Manchester’s only dedicated tea rooms.
Each of The Midland’s sub-brands reference something of Manchester’s past. A requirement of this brief was to use a cotton flower as a part of the identity, referencing Manchester’s history with the cotton industry.
The identity features a custom ornate monogram ‘T’ designed in a style reminiscent of Victorian typography, quintessentially British and harking back to a time when craft was laboured over.
